Dimitris in Darmstadt

Highly Recommended . Our favorites gyros and baked sheep's cheese delight not only us but the whole family. By far the best Greek food in Darmstadt for years. There are very very few restaurants that could last for so many years. The Dimitris is one of them and rightly so.

I have loved this restaurant for 30 years. The cuisine is consistently delicious. The price-performance ratio is 100%. Tolli, an idiosyncratic, lovable man. His cook great for me. We very much hope it will stay with us for a while.

Unfortunately, a flop. Meat totally dry and loveless prepared, drinks not cool, plate with dirt crust from the dishwasher, abgeassiert with smudge.

I heard good things from this Greek some time ago, so I gave it a try. Unfortunately the visit was very disappointing, had Bifteki with cheese, the side dish was rather lukewarm, the meat all the hotter. There was no sauce or tzatziki, which I thought was a shame, because the food was relatively dry overall. My companion had a small grill plate, the meat I get on my grill better overall and the portion was overall very small for the price. In addition, the wine had a strange aftertaste, which we then demonstratively put aside. The waitress noticed this, said nothing or put it away. Overall very disappointing for a Greek.

Delicious food, but unbelievably cold (were frozen through after our visit) and the ambience could generally do with a new coat of paint.

We were eating with 4 people and 2 children. The food was ok, but not special in any way. The lettuce thawed and the herb suspiciously bitter. Unfortunately the bread is not fresh either. No food for children and the ice cream was out. The owner was really nice and served super well. The restaurant is pretty dark. Absolutely okay in terms of price.

As always very tasty, selection is typical of the Greek cuisine. Both meat and fish dishes are freshly prepared. Servings large. Prices are okay. The wine selection is good. We go to him regularly and look forward to it every time. We recommend.

I was recommended the gyros. In my opinion the worst gyros I have ever eaten, dry and hardly any taste. The beer tasted of metal and was not cold enough. The waitress was nice but doesn't make up for the bad food. I will not go there again.

We have been going to Dimitris for at least 40 years. Always again and again gladly. For us it is the best Greek in Darmstadt and elsewhere. The small Greek-blue restaurant is great. And "our Greek" Toli knows his guests.

The food is always very authentic. The Noch is an artist.

Good price, for a good portion! Typical Greek, huge meat platters and simply superbly prepared!

We're going there because we've been here for over 20 years. 😉 And we go here, because then we want to eat something very special, namely the leg of lamb with beans and fries. We do not know anyone who serves a better one.

Good food and a wonderful host. It is worth visiting frequently.
